All this confusion with branding/tech that needs to be dead simple on top of the super expensive battery prices is the reason why I stay away from DeWalt tools - they don't seem to understand the needs of the market - simplicity, reliability, performance and compatibility with older tools. Who wants to spend the $$$ on a battery that may not even work with another tool that they come up with in a year or so?? All these mixed matching constantly revolving branding tells you that the company is off track and they don't seem to know what they're doing.

Don’t trust milwaukees warranty as they did not cover my m18 12 amp battery . 8 months old and dead . Same as the sds drill took it in three times and they never got it fixed . So I sent it in many times and finally gave up they are trash and milwaukee does not fix them at all . Sad part I never even got to use them . SHAME ON MILWAUKEE YOUR WARRANTY SUCKS !

Did you get the release date and cost for the Packout Mechanic Dolly they showed at this pipeline.

We need a detail orbital sander with removable sized head pads from a 5 in to a 4 all the way down to a 2. Thats what we need dewalt. Mf would be bad ass. Would make milwaukee detail sander look like shit.

The circular saw still looked bulky and heavy compared to dewalts and I find on Milwaukee saw the guide and blade is harder to see Compared to dewalts

When I was young and started my carpentry all we had access to was the circular saws which were the old Side winders , the old black and decker you had to look over or thru the little window to see the line. The awkward saw that pinched and bound like crazy. Then I moved out west where Californian’s used the worm drive a true right handers saw. Heavy but its line of sight was a left sided blade. If not for the worm drive I would have never been a carpenter. When I would come back east to work seeing these old carpenters struggle over the circular saw holding on for dear life I had to laugh at how strange these saws were really built for left handers. I wondered why there were so few saws available that had left sided blades. I was told it’s because the motors hade to be spun in the opposite direction of the traditional method making it more expensive. Sadly now some of these saws are being made With right sided blades. My track saw is right sided which disappoints me. Why can’t the industry make both left and right handed saws more accessible. Same with tape measurements, I hold the pencil in my right hand and pull out tape with left, numbers are upside down? Who draws with their left hand?

Maybe it's just me, but when I saw the orbital sander and how they claim it's has less vibration, I saw a lot of silicone underneath that red liquid in comparison to the other one. I'm wondering if all that silicone had any contribution to that "less vibration".

As a fitter you need to make pipe fast we make up fittings on the machine with an 18" how long would the battery last in real life other than a commercial ?? I'm being serious anyone hanging black pipe is making up their fittings up on the machine not going from the machine to a tripod stand to wrench every fitting!!!!😊
